DARKESTRAH ist eine 1999 gegründete Band aus Kirgisistan, die in dem Pagan, bzw Black Metal Bereich einzuordnen ist. Das aktuelle Line-up besteht aus der Frontfrau Kriegtalith (vocals), Asbath (drums), Anti (guitar), Helvete (Bass) und Resurgemus (keyboards). Die Texte von DARKESTRAH behandeln zu einem großen Teil die kirgisische Mythologie, wie zB. das debut Album Sary Oy, das die 3 Schwestern der Natur beschreibt.
