1) Advantage, a brass rock band featuring members of Grown at Home is a British ska punk band, that were tipped as "the new market leaders for their genre in this country, with a nationwide fanbase to back their unsurmountable popularity". The band was formed in 2002 in Stafford.
After forming as Grown at Home, 2004 saw the band recorded their debut EP, The Sandwich EP, at Premier Studios, Corby, which was then released on Cash For Pigs Records - a label created by the band themselves primarily to release this EP. The EP received positive reviews and was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 ("The Lock Up") and Kerrang! FM. The EP has sold more than 1000 copies.

After releasing The Sandwich EP, Grown at Home toured the United Kingdom in support slots with bands from the United States punk scene such as Voodoo Glow Skulls, Rx Bandits, Never Heard Of It, Wheatus and The Aquabats. They also toured with Howards Alias, Manchester genre terrorists Sonic Boom Six and female-fronted pop-punkers The Fight.

On 6 July 2006 Grown at Home released their debut album Assemble. The album was recorded at Street Level Studios in Cardiff and produced by Curig Huws. The song "Get Ready" received airplay from Mike Davies on Radio 1's The Lock Up.

Grown at Home were designated support band for a two week long Lightyear reunion tour in July 2006.

The band recently recorded a live session for BBC Radio Stoke's local music programme SUBculture.

In April and May 2007 Grown at Home supported the established Californian ska punk outfit Voodoo Glow Skulls on their European tour. During this time the band opened the German leg of 2007's extended Give It a Name Festival (featuring the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Lagwagon, Sparta and MxPx), as well as The Power Fest 2007 in Amsterdam, Holland.

Since then they've headlined the Ska Trek - The Next Generation tour, and joined Sonic Boom Six on their Arcade Perfect album release tour. After the departure of singer Nick and a line-up change they have taken on a new image and, after only 4 weeks, wrote new material and developed old tracks to perform at a GASH Collective All night rave and the Bomb Ibiza's Ska Bar and plan to go much further.

2008 has seen Grown at Home play such exciting gigs as Rebellion Festival in both Blackpool and Vienna, as well as a string of headline and support shows around the UK. Forthcoming dates include support slots with Jaya the Cat, Spunge and The Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

In March 2009 following the departure of several members and the arrival or several new ones, Grown at Home announced they were changing their name to Advantage.

2) Advantage is based in Northern California and bring a breath of fresh air into the rich musical history of the Bay area. The band was formed when singer Shane Gould and guitarist Michael Marino met while at the same job in January 2008. Both musicians coming from former bands (Quick and the Dead) and (Volare). Former bandmate Nick Puccini was also brought in to play bass on the project. The band has been writing and producing music for their debut album “Say Your Best, Do Your Worst” which is due to release in early Spring 2009. The album is made up of 14 carefully constructed tracks which range from guitar fueled songs such as “Let You Go” to more disco rock jams like “A Place to Call Home” and also finding room for songs like “Lost In Eternity” and “Slow Down” which are more subtle and anthem driven. The album as a whole is innovative and diverse from start to finish, setting Advantage apart from your local music scene.

3) The Advantage is an American rock band from Sacramento, California that formed in 1998 and specializes in doing covers of music from old NES games. They have covered songs from numerous videogames, including Mega Man, Air Fortress, Castlevania and Metroid. As of 2011 they have released two albums on the record label 5RC.

The band consists of Robby Moncrieff (guitar), Ben Milner (guitar), Carson McWhirter (bass) and Spencer Seim (drums) of Hella. Nick Rogers and Forrest Harding, former Nevada Union High School students, are the two original members who started the band. Cassie Stewart was featured on bass for a while as well. Seim, who attended high school with Rogers and Harding, asked if he could play drums for them and was accepted. At the time the band was called Generic. .
