Pasaules Gaisma | en

Pasaules Gaisma (The Light of the World) is a Latvian post-punk band formed in Rīga, Latvia in 2001.

The band was founded by two friends - Imants Daksis (song writting, vocals, acoustic guitar) and Juris Tipa (bass), joining drummer and percussionist Mārtiņš Links.

In 2003, Pasaules Gaisma released two independent albums Pasaules Gaisma and Matērijas Bilžu Grāmata. In 2004, Imants Daksis started his solo career and played Pasaules Gaisma's songs in his concerts and also included rewrited versions in his albums. The band ended it's musical action in 2006.

The band were reformed in late 2014.
