"The poet and musician in Beth united at 16 when an intuitive gentleman from church handed her a classical guitar. Here a songwriter she became. When Beth began jamming with Aaron Fishburn at Whitworth College in 2004, there fused folky-reflective songwriter with his toe-tappin', funky upright bass. Soon the pair took home first place at a YMCA talent contest in Shoreline, WA, second place at their college's 'Pirate Idol,' and first place at a songwriter's competition night at Wired and Unplugged in Snohomish, WA.

After recording 'Leave Your Shoes' (2007) at Malamute Studios in Seattle, the pair toured some accross the northwest at such venues as: The Tractor Tavern, Mr. Spot's Chai House, Barefoot Coffee Roasters, Sleeping Lady, and the Evergreen State Fair. They have also pulled out their instruments at many a farmer's market, wedding ceremony, and the occasional airplane gate. A mutual parting with Malamute Records left Beth with a handful of new songs and an open slate. Beth and Aaron resolved like many bands and artists as of late, to pursue the independent route. Still plucking away, Beth and Aaron were selected in the top ten of Wenatchee's Battle of the Bands 2009, and most recently, Beth took home the title as winner of Caffe Mela's 2010 Battle of the Bards.

In Spring of 2010, Beth and Aaron set out to hand-pick a studio/producer. "We were searching for someone who could hear the songs and make them better in the ways we've never known how. We wanted to make an album that would fully represent the message of the songs themselves." They found a fit in Brandon Bee, a multi-talented artist and producer out of Tacoma, WA.
