Alexander Xendzov was born 1980 in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. He has lived in the city of Ryazan, Russia since 1989.

In 1998, Alex started to experiment with electronic music, working in a diverse array of styles and genres. These included house, trance, techno, 2step, breakbeat and downtempo, with trance being his main choice for his musical productions. Inspired by the productions of Paul van Dyk, Chicane and Ferry Corsten, Alex built a solid melodic base into all his music, eventually refining his own, unique, euphoric trance sound. This led to his first success: in 2001, his trance tune, ‘Seaside’ was played on a local FM radio station.

This first success motivated him to work on the further improvement of his sound. He devoted a number of years learning the basics of sound engineering and digital mastering. Listening to the work of new wave trance and progressive producers, such as Andy Moor, Perry O’Neil, Ozgur Can and Probspot, Alex started mixing different styles under the UNDERSKY alias, thereby creating music that combined elements of progressive, trance, and electro sound.

Finally, he decided to promote himself and his music worldwide. Since 2007, Alex has released his music on a number of record labels, and has received steadily growing support from some of the biggest DJs around the world. Alex has also performed in night clubs as a DJ himself, where he prefers vinyl as the main medium for broadcasting his music.
