Deathrash (portmanteau for "death" and "thrash") is a subgenre of extreme metal music, in which it is a blend of death metal and thrash metal. It is characterized for aggressive percussions accompanied by power riffs which are often commonly found in thrash metal, mainly focusing on tremolo picking playing techniques and a groovier sound, while the voice is either deep, harsher or raspier than that found in conventional death metal. .
