Formed in the fall of 2006 in Philadelphia, PA. Alt-Country four piece. Members include Erin Douglas, Emi Oka and brothers Craig and Brendan Maguire. In the summer of 2007 Heirloom Projector won the Beta Hi-Fi Festival at The World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PA. For their efforts they got the track, 'Sweet To Mend', in Paste Magazines February 2008 CD Sampler #39 with the likes of Radiohead, Bright Eyes and Philadelphia's Dr Dog. On January 15th 2008 Heirloom Projector released their debut album Slightly By Your Side. .
Dirty Projectors are an experimental pop group led by singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dave Longstreth which formed in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York, United States. The current lineup of Dirty Projectors is Dave Longstreth (vocals, multiple instruments), Nat Baldwin (bass), Mike Johnson (drums), Olga Bell (vocals, keyboard) and Haley Dekle (vocals). Based in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn with connections to the Portland, OR music scene, the group has produced a distinctive sound of electronic experimentation, melded with traditional instruments and harmonically complex vocals. Their recordings range from Prince-style one-man-recording-studio productions (The Glad Fact), to arranged orchestrations (the "Slaves' Graves" half of Slaves' Graves...
Projecto recorded its first demo-tape in April 1994: it emphasizes the tecnical skills of the guitarist Vic Mazzoni, supported by the precise rhytmic section of Fabio Zunino on bass creating power-metal sonorities. In April 1995 the band recorded its second demo-tape, whose tracks are enriched by the keyboards sounds by P.J. Abba. From mid 1996 Projecto started developing its current sound, and with the new singer (Robert) and new drummer (Luca) it had the opportunity to realize its ideas at a competitive level.
