Sathanas is a blackened death metal band from New Brighton, Pennsylvania, USA. They were formed in 1988. They write Satanic lyrics. The current line-up consists of Bill Davidson on vocals & bass, Paul Tucker on guitar and James Strauss on drums. They released their first album Black Earth in 1996. After that, they went on to release 8 more full-length albums. .

The current line-uo consists of Balam Lord (drummer, also in Demetrius Grave), 666 Sperm (guitarist), Grave/Beliaazaar (vocals, part of Demetrius Grave as well, former member of Wunde, Melets, Burnt and Discarded), Sodomized By The Devil (bassist) and Wusvusuul (guitarist). The band Adonai Sathanas was founded by Laurens Jan and Bas (both guitar) in the summer of 2006. Daan (drums) and Ties (vocals) soon joined the band, and with this line-up they've recorded the full-lenght "Maan van Onheil" in 2008. Shortly after that, a bassist (Stefan) joined the band, and their music became more melodic and more sinister than ever before. In this new line-up they've recorded the MCD "De Duistere Eeuwen", published 25th may 2009. Shortly after the release of this album, bassplayer Stefan left the band to be replaced by Marcel.
