Damon is the artistic name of David Del Conte, an American gypsy musician. Based in Los Angeles, David Del Conte and Charlie Carey had already pursued careers in popular music for many years before deciding to embrace the underground rock movement. His debut album, Song of a Gypsy, was originally released in 1969. Damon is also the name of an electronica musician from Minnesota who released the Lore EP in 2010. .

Born and raised in Brandon Florida just outside of Tampa, Damon first picked up the guitar at the age of 12. After being shown a few chords, it was apparent that he was a natural. Damon Aaron grew up in the foothills of LA playing folk and country music with his family and noodling with Radio Shack synthesizers. He's been nominated for Gilles Peterson's Worldwide winners and LA Weekly music awards. He's also been featured on several influential compilations including: Rewind! 3 (Ubiquity), Dublab Presents: Freeways (Emperor Norton), Impeach The Precedent (Kajmere) and Broadcasting (Sonar Kolectiv).
