Animals as Leaders est un groupe de metal progressif de Washington aux Etats-Unis, formé en 2008. Le groupe est en fait bâti sur les cendres du groupe Reflux du guitariste Tosin Abasi.
Le label de heavy metal Prosthetic Records a vu le jeu de Abasi à la guitare et lui ont demandé d'écrire un album solo. Abasi a d'abord refusé, trouvant l'entreprise "égoïste et superflue".
Quand Reflux se séparent, Abasi décide d'accepter l'offre du label. Le nom "Animals as Leaders" s'inspire de la nouvelle de Daniel Quinn "Ishmael" parue en 1992, qui traite d'anthropocentrisme. Abasi a choisi ce nom pour...

Work Clothes is the husband and wife pair Jenny & Lee Waters. Recording for their first full length was done at home in their own Bless This Mess studio. At home is where they spent close to three years writing and recording the twelve hauntingly bittersweet pop gems that grace this record. Final mixing was handled by the warm and thoughtful ears of their good friend Brian Paulson (Slint, Archers of Loaf, The Rosebuds).
With both Lee & Jenny being multi-instrumentalists(Lee plays drums with The Essex Green and Dean & Britta) they tend to prefer record all of their songs...
Last of the Believers, the band featuring current and former members of Rise Against, Ignite, Reach the Sky, Spark of Life, have posted a full album stream of their debut EP. The 5 song release is titled Paper Ships Under a Burning Bridge and is available via Interpunk.
Last of the Believers features vocalist Steve Jennings, guitarist/vocalist Chris Chasse, bassist Brett Rasmussen, guitarist Nik Piscitello and drummer Phillip Lee.
