Playing for Change is a foundation and multimedia online music project created by producer Mark Johnson and his Timeless Media Group, in conjunction with Concord Music Group that seeks to bring together musicians from around the world. The Flying Pickets was a British a cappella vocal group, known for a surprise number one hit in 1983 on the U.K. singles chart with their cover of the Yazoo's track "Only You". Their version, having peaked around Christmastime, is remembered fondly by many radio stations during the season. The name 'Flying Pickets' refers to mobile strikers who travel in order to join a picket. Die Trying was a four piece rock band formed in 2001 and based in Sacramento, California. After signing a contract with Island Records in 2002, they released their first single, "Oxygen's Gone", followed by their self-titled debut album on June 10, 2003. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach appears on the song "Conquer The World" from that album. The bands name comes from their relentless effort in trying to make it and willingness to do anything.
