"Amazing and underrated prog work from the early UK era. Sounding like a heavier version of Fruup the album Titus Groan featured on the Dawn label. It has been re-issued on See For Miles with some extra tracks. Drums and Bass impress on the track "Liverpool" which has a very dynamic almost Squire-like bass riff at the end. The mock-medieval "In the Hall of Bright Carvings" is a 14 minute epic and one of the undiscovered gems that can be found on many of these rare UK prog LP's. There is more than one artist with this name. 1) Groan is a 4 piece stoner metal band from the UK. Formed in 2009 and released their first album "The Sleeping Wizard in 2010. Their second full-length album, "The Divine Right of Kings", was released in October 2012. 2) Groan was a death doom metal band from Mława, Poland, formed in 1992. They released three demos: "Myth" (1993), "It What Has Been Forgotten..." (1996) and "Promo Tape '98" (1998). Disbanded around 1999. .
