There are at least three bands with the name the Tigers.
The most widely known of these are The Tigers (ザ・タイガース), who were Japan’s most popular band of the Group Sounds era. The group featured a singer named Kenji Sawada, and were signed to Watanabe Productions.
The group was first named Funnys and was formed in 1966. They changed their name to "The Tigers" on their first TV performance on 15 November 1966. They appeared in several Japanese movies in the late 1960s.

《....from the Pagan Vastlands》是波兰异教黑金属乐团Behemoth的首张正式作品，来自94年的一张典型Northern Black Metal经典。它不仅深得挪威早期乐队如Darkthrone，Mayhem，Burzum等的精髓，又有着明显波兰气息的异教情节。而作为此张专集本身，似乎更是modern Black Metal的启蒙教材之一，后续无数乐队都受到它的启发开始利用原声吉他，键盘等来营造异教氛围。
Behemoth作品的旋律线非常明显，每首作品都是Darkthrone加Burzum式的原始黑背景结合波兰式的异教旋律和氛围，原始感觉的同时又寒冷邪恶。专集中原始段落的精彩自不用说，吉他沙沙做响的压抑背景配合主唱似乎含混不清却充满亵渎的唱词，时而快速低沉的地鼓和时而慢速邪恶的军鼓敲打形成的情绪化脉动，以及Bass厚重显见的低音，都是一派早期原始黑的感觉。键盘的加入也算适当，适时起到了渲染气氛的作用。Behemoth个别的键盘段落有着Emperor般的交织感和大气，但多数时候则更象Burzum，专集中 'Summoning (Of The Ancient ones)'，'Dance of the Pagan Flames'等几首作品听下来总能让我感到些Burzum的影子，只是Behemoth的键盘更为旋律化和突出。原声吉他的使用以及Nergal的演唱也无疑是专集的亮点，Nergal典型压抑的黑嗓不是特别尖利和撕裂，但原始和压抑感十足，和整体音乐的配合也更为贴切。《....from the Pagan Vastlands》的词作很有老式森林黑金属的特点，喻情于景的手法时常见到，同时贯穿全作的异教情节同样引人注目。

Neville Marcano, (1915-1993), known as the Growling Tiger, is a Trinidadian calypsonian.
Born in Siparia, Tiger was originally a boxer who won the Trinidad bantamweight championship in 1929. He was active in calypso from his teens. He was a member of the Old Brigade of calypso singers, which included Lord Beginner, Attila The Hun, the Roaring Lion, and Lord Pretender. In 1935, he went to New York with Attila and Lord Beginner to record for the Decca label. In 1939, he won the first Calypso Monarch competition with "The Labour Situation in Trinidad And Tobago."
