David Fanshawe (born 1942 in Paignton, England - 5 July 2010) was an English composer and ethnomusicologist. His work is situated at the crossroads of traditional and modern music [disambiguation needed]. His best-known composition is the 1972 choral work African Sanctus. Educated at St George's School, Windsor Castle and Stowe School, he started his career as a musician and producer for documentary films. He studied composition under John Lambert at the Royal College of Music. He became widely known with composition of choral works. Besides vocal pieces, he also composed the score for more than 50 films and TV productions....

There are at least seven bands called The Fans of these can be mentioned: 1) The Fans were formed in 1978 in Bristol, England. Their first single was an EP released in 1979 on the newly formed Fried Egg record label - "Givin’ Me That Look In Your Eyes". Their second single "You Don’t Live Here Anymore" was released on Fried Egg in 1980. The band secured a major publishing deal but internal frictions about musical direction caused the band to split. Both singles were picked up by Japanese indie label 1977 Records and re-released in 2001. A CD album...

Mono Fans is an Estonian band. Despite the name their music is in stereo. They were active in the late 90's and did an album. As in many Estonian eurodance acts ther first song "Juliette" was a cover of Robin Gibb's "Juliette". .
