乐队简介
BRAHMAN(梵)乐队于1995年在日本东京组成后在东京周边开始演出活动,1996年11月发行第一张专辑“grope our way(现在已是绝版)”。后来因吉它手离队成员减成三个人,但他们却没有放弃演出和录音活动。
1997年10月发行单曲“WAIT AND WAIT”,同步举行的全国巡演获得了很大成功。1998年新吉它手KOHKI加入，乐队成为现在阵容。
BRAHMAN在1998年8月参加日本”AIR JAM‘98音乐节”,在第二演出场3万名听众面前演了大轴子戏,给听众的印象格外深,同年9月终于发行歌迷一直期待的第二张专辑“A MAN OF THE WORLD”,该专辑收录非常广阔的音乐杰作,比如翻唱日本有名乐队”后醍醐乐队(GODAIGO乐队,曾参加过1980年10月在天津工人文化宫剧场举行的第一届中日友好音乐节)”的“CHERRIES WERE MADE FOR EATING”、采用日语歌词的“ANSWER FOR...”“时钟”等作品。该专辑获得了日本外资唱片联锁店综合销售量冠军,现在还更新着非主流音乐市场的最长期畅销商品的记录。
1999年9月单曲“deep / arrival time”上市,同年参加”TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT””FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL(富士摇滚音乐节)”等世界驰名的超大规模音乐节,他们每次演出均成为绝大多数人赞扬的目标。同年10月至2000年2月在日本全国30个城市举行的单曲发布全国巡演”arrival”门票全部售完。2000年4月参加”BAD FOOD STAFF TOUR”,同年8月参加超大型音乐节”RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL””AIR JAM 2000”,11月参加”REVOLVER FLAVOUR”等,他们的演出活动显得更加精彩。
同年8月23日发行的第一集现场录像带(VHS)“craving”获得了ORICON(日本最大的排行榜)冠军(在2001年1月24日发DVD版)。他们从同年11月举行的全国5个城市巡演”thirst”胜利完成,所有门票当天售完。该巡演结束后他们与欧洲巴斯克地方的民族音乐队”Alaitz eta Maider(2个女子乐队)”及美国硬核系乐队”SHELTER”一同在日本全国巡演,积极地与海外乐队合作。2001年6月底发行第三张专辑“A FORLORN HOPE”,获得了ORICON排行榜亚军。7月参加”FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’01”,8月举行全国巡演”hope against hope tour”,总共演了34场。10月在西班牙巴斯克地方演出。12月22日发行第三张专辑“A FORLORN HOPE”LP版。
2002年1月实行”hope against hope tour’02”,演了13场。4月参加在意大利举行的BANDA BASSOTI乐队的巡演,7月参加”FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL(富士摇滚音乐节)’02”,9月参加台湾”FORMOZ FESTIVAL”。BRAHMAN(梵)乐队的演出活动博得国际上声誉。
2003年2月份举行英国巡演，4月份再次参加意大利BANDA BASSOTI乐队的巡演。8月至9月举行了”BRAHMAN TOUR’03–Hands and Feet -”日本全国17场演出。
