1981 senesinde Metallica’ya katılan fakat çeşitli anlaşmazlıklar sonucu gruptan çıkartılan Dave Mustaine (gitar, vokal), yanına David Ellefson (bas gitar), Greg Handevidt (gitar) ve Dijon Carruthers (davul)’ı da alarak Megadeth’i oluşturdu. Metallica’dan kovulmayı kendisine yapılan bir haksızlık olarak nitelendiren Mustaine, yeni grubuyla Metallica’dan daha hızlı bir sounda sahip olmak için çalışmalara başladı. Omega Tribe was an English anarcho-punk band, formed in the early 1980s in Barnet, North London. Their first EP, "Angry Songs", was produced by Crass Records in 1982.
