Ernst Busch (22 January 1900 - 8 June 1980) was a singer and actor. He was born in Kiel, Germany, and died in Berlin. Busch first rose to prominence as an interpreter of political songs, particularly those of Kurt Tucholsky, in the Berlin cabaret scene of the 1920s. He starred in the original 1928 production of Bertolt Brecht's Threepenny Opera, as well as the subsequent 1931 film by Georg Wilhelm Pabst. Katharina Franck (born July 28th, 1963 in Düsseldorf) is a singer/songwriter and musician from Germany. She is best known for being the singer/guitarist of the band Rainbirds. Katharina Franck spent her childhood in Portugal. Form 1974 to 1977 she lived in Sao Paolo, Brazil where she learned to play guitar and wrote her first songs. Back in Portugal she began to play in several bands. In 1981 she moved to Cologne where she continued writing prose and poetry (in German).
