The Dismemberment Plan Washington D.C/ABD'li indie rock grubu. 1 Ocak 1993'de kurulan grup D-Plan ya da The Plan olarak da bilinir. Grup elemanları Eric Axelson (bas), Jason Caddell (gitar), Joe Easley (davul) ve Travis Morrison (gitar, vokal) şeklindeydi. Grubu Axelson, Caddell, Morrison ve orjinal davulcuları Steve Cummings lisedeyken kurdular. İlk albüm sonrası Cummings gruptan ayrıldı ve yerine Easley geldi. The band was formed in October 2009. At first it consisted of vocalist and guitarist. They started working on their first album called «Butcher Basement» at once. Later, in January 2010 the band found a bassist who also took part in recording the album. The first album «Butcher Basement» was recorded in the end of July 2010.
