Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) is an influential Japanese electropop band, formed in 1978. They are renowned as a major influence in popular music, and for pioneering the electropop music genre. The principal members are Haruomi Hosono (bass), Yukihiro Takahashi (drums) and Ryuichi Sakamoto (keyboards). Spaces is an American instrumental post-rock band based in Brooklyn, NY. They are typically known for their exploration of various genres, often following celestial themes, and have released two full-length albums to date. As of January 27th, 2013, they have split up, saying band member Franco has joined the army.
