There are at least 7bands called Shaft: 1 Shaft is an electronic music production duo, Alex Rizzo & Elliot Ireland. They are known for their covers and remixes of "Mucho Mambo (Sway)" and "Mambo Italiano". Shaft went straight to No. 2 in the UK charts with the release of '(Mucho Mambo) Sway'. They followed this with the release of 'Mambo Italiano' which reached 12 in the UK chart. They went on to tour the world and win a gold disc for best performing group. Since then they have recorded more songs since such as "Kiri Riri Boom" and "Shake Seniora"....
The Capstan Shafts is the musical project of Vermont native Dean Wells. Renowned for his prolific output, Wells is a musical Bukowski, with songs like the old drunk's short stories: low on length and conventional form, but highly literary and extremely satisfying. Iba andando got together in January, 2006. After a couple of concerts that helped the band gel,they started refining their own sound, one that's influenced by many bands in the American and Spanish indie pop rock and power pop traditions. The crew chose Spanish as their language of choice, as they feel their composition process benefits from this, making it much more comfortable and quick. In their first year of existence, Iba Andando took part in several local music festivales, such as Burriana's Cool Music Festival -sharing stage with such Spanish heavyweights as Boikot or Delinquentes-, Aldaia' s Setmana Barrakuda...
