Miljoonasade are a popular Finnish rock group formed in Jyväskylä, Finland in 1985. They rose to fame with their first single Lapsuuden sankarille in 1986. While the band has not released new material in recent years, they have played a gig every now and then. The band had a short hiatus in the beginning of the 2010s. They had a reunion in a Finnish reality TV show in 2014 and have since released a new album. Joonas Kokkonen (November 21, 1921 – October 1 or 2, 1996) was a Finnish composer. He was born in Iisalmi, Finland, but spent most of his life in Järvenpää at his home, which was known as "Villa Kokkonen". He served in the Finnish army during World War II with great distinction. He received his education at the University of Helsinki, and later at the Sibelius Academy, where he afterwards taught composition; his students there included Aulis Sallinen. There are two bands with the name Joon. Joon[US] is a band from Lakeland, FL who are known for their electronic soundscapes and pop melodies. They released their debut album, "The Uncanny Valley," on June 1st, 2007. A second album, "Conduct Yourself," followed in 2010. Joon[UK] are a band from Manchester, UK, and formed January 2006 by Ex Band members of Layered, Olly Kraweckyj and John Clapper. Joined later by musicians Nic Southwood on bass and Alex Lacey on Drums. The band has a style heavily influenced by classic/melodic rock typical of the 70s and 80s. .

Pelle Miljoona Oy was a Finnish rock band which was founded in 1979 and disbanded in 1983. The band is (along with Pelle Miljoona & 1980) the most famous of Pelle Miljoona's bands. The most famous lineup was the one which recorded the successful Finnish rock album called "Moottoritie On Kuuma". That lineup included Ari Taskinen, Andy McCoy, Sami Takamäki, Tumppi Varonen and Pelle Miljoona himself. Pelle Miljoona Oy started with Finnish punk/new wave and continued with modern Finnish rock for which the band was a remarkable developer.
