In 2003 the two German musicians Detlef Dominiczak and Andreas Braun formed and created Wellenfeld, shaped from the electronic music from the last 20 years. They let influences exist from this time in their own sound, have however not the requirement "to invent again the wheel"but to mix different styles and develop them further. .

Formed originally as the Premiers in 1960 in New York, USA, the Excellents consisted of John Kuse (lead), Joel Feldman (baritone), Denis Kestenbaum (falsetto), George Kuse (first tenor), Phil Sanchez (second tenor) and Chuck Epstein (bass). They signed to Mermaid Records, where their revision of Al Jolson’s ‘When The Red, Red Robin, Comes Bob-Bob-Bobbin’ Along’ was coupled with another cover, the Jesters’ ‘Love No One But You’, as their debut single. Encouraged by local airplay, they followed this with a second disc, their version of the Cleftones’ ‘You Baby You’ on the a-side and ‘Coney Island Baby’ on the b-side....

Ellen McIlwaine (born ca. October 1, 1945) is a singer, songwriter and slide guitarist who also plays piano and harmonica. As a female vocalist who mainly plays acoustic guitar, her music tends to be classified in the folk sections of record stores, despite her strong roots in blues, soul and rock music and her cover versions of songs by artists such as Isaac Hayes, Stevie Wonder and Browning Bryant.
