Veronika Fischer, born 28. July 1951 in Wölfis, Thuringia) is a German Singer. Veronika Fischer began to study 1968 music at the Dresden Music College „Carl Maria von Weber“. While studying, she performed with a variation of bands, such as the Fred-Herfter-Combo and the Stern-Combo Meissen. 1973 her first album was released with the band Panta Rhei, members of which later founded the band Karat, one of East Germany's most famous musical exports. Veronika (publicly capitalized as VERONIKA) is a singer and songwriter. She began her music career in 2012 and her single Ain’t Russian Doll received regular airplay throughout the United States including reaching No.1 on YouTube charts after receiving more than two million hits in less than one month. Harcsa Veronika was born in Budapest. During her school years she went to several music schools learning to play the piano, the saxophone, classical and jazz singing. She is graduating from the vocal jazz faculty of the Ferenc Liszt College of Music Budapest in June 2008. She formed her own jazz quartet in 2005, featuring leading young Hungarian jazz musicians. She produced and released their debut jazz standard album Speak Low in Hungary in 2005. Speak Low was released in Japan in July 2007 by the independent Tokyo based label Nature Bliss.
