Rex Gildo (July 2, 1939 - October 26, 1999) was a German singer of schlager ballads who reached the height of his popularity in the 1960s and 1970s, selling over 25 million records and starring in film and television roles.
Gildo was born Ludwig Alexander Hirtreiter in Straubing, Bavaria and was a member of the Regensburger Domspatzen choir before going to acting school. Slobodan started off as an producer completely devoted to electronic body music with strong influences from Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Front 242 & Nitzer Ebb.
This was in the year of 1993-94. Later on in the fall of 1996 he started to investigate the techno scene and it´s danceculture. He started to buy records from artists and producers who at the time were responsible for the most pounding releases.
And it didn´t take him long to start producing himself, and in 1998 he got his first release out.
