アフロマニア, also known as Afromania, is a Japanese pop/rock band. They were formed in May 2004 and disbanded on September 2009, releasing a total of 4 singles and 3 albums. Graziano Romani started his career forming his first band The Rocking Chairs in 1982, and performing covers of rock'n'soul classics in clubs and theatres all over Italy. The band later signed with the label Ala Bianca/EMI and released their first album NEW EGYPT in 1987. The album was warmly received by the critics and the public, and was followed by FREEDOM RAIN in 1988, featuring a contribution from american artist Elliott Murphy, who sang lead vocals on the title-track and produced the duet on the Jagger/Richards ballad "Wild Horses". Murphy then produced the band's third album called NO SAD GOODBYES...
Xurxo Romaní has always been fascinated by the sound of a medieval instrument, the hurdy gurdy or Galician "zanfona". He started playing it in 1997, and he has collaborated with several musical groups in Catalunya and Galicia, on the ground of early music and folk music. Mandranugalla is a solo recording where he plays a range of folk instruments accompanying the hurdy-gurdy. Its main sources are medieval music and traditional music from Galicia. In "O diaño e a mona" he merges into jazz, funk and electronic music, with a touch of progressive rock. .
Megaromania was a Japanese visual kei power metal band formed in 2008 and disbanded in 2013. One of UNDER CODE PRODUCTION's newest additions, formed in January 2008, even before Sui and Misery left their old band. Megaromania consists of ex-members of bands such as Metis Gretel, 焔, STELLA... and 般 若 (hAN-NyA).
