Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric was founded in Budapest in November, 2005 - at the right place in the right time. The head of the band, trumpeter Lőrinc Barabás has demonstrated his talent in several bands and styles (Irie Maffia, Soulwhat, The Uptown Felaz), not just in Hungary, but also around Europe and further away. With enough experience behind him, he decided to go his own way, accompanied by excellent musicians. Before developing a taste for rock and jazz, Barabas studied classical music at the Caracas Conservatory in Venezuela. His skills as a pianist are admirable; Barabas's use of synthesizers is not quite so sophisticated but shows some promise. His recordings include 1988's Magic in December, 1992's Sedona Suite, 1995's Mosaic and 1999's Live. .
