RIF is an abbreviation for Rock Identitaire Français, a musical movement of French Identitarians supported by various organizations tied to the Francosphere's nationalist movements. Bands who were part of this movement are frequently christened Identity Rock in English. Although predominantly Rock-based, some artists have performed Techno or Hip-Hop while staying aligned with RIF.
Unlike French RAC, RIF bands were less concerned with race and more concerned with national identity. Consequently, lyrics discussed the negative effects of Americanization and globalization on French culture as well as the impact of mass immigration.
