Schelmish was a German Mittelalter rock band from the city of Bonn, Germany. The band originally formed in 1999 for a birthday celebration for band member Des Demonia's mother. The language of their songs varies between German, English, Latin, French and several old languages. The band split-up in December 2012; a group of members founded the Electro Folk Rock Band InVictus. They can often be seen performing at local Medieval Markets and other re-enacting events. Helmut Zacharias (January 27, 1920-February 28, 2002) was a German violinist. He started having lessons at the age of 4. Being 6 he played at the cabaret Faun in Berlin and had his first radio broadcast five years later. In the 1950s he was considered to be one of the best jazz violinists of Europe. He played together with many other famous artists, including Yehudi Menuhin and had his own TV show from 1968 to 1973. He died in 2002 in Tessin, Switzerland. .

Johann Wilhelm Hertel (9 October 1727 – 14 June 1789) was a German composer, harpsichord and violin player. He was born in Eisenach, into a family of musicians. His father, Johann Christian Hertel (1697-1754) was Konzertmeister (from 1733) and director of music at the Eisenach court, while his grandfather, Jakob Christian Hertel (ca. 1667-ca. 1726), had been Kapellmeister in Oettingen and later Merseburg.
