Cioccolata (ショコラータ) are a Japanese art pop/new wave band. An interesting fact about them is that their songs are sung in Italian (bel canto). They formed in 1982 and disbanded in 1986. They were signed to "King Records", Ryomei Shirai/白井良明 (MOONRIDERS) produced their self-titled album. After Cioccolata disbanded, Caoli Cano/かの香織 (vocalist) debuted as a solo artist in 1991. I was born out of the ashes of two great Galway bands; II Toke Pass – Reggae/Ska/Buckfast covers band and Big Bag of Sticks – Reggae/Ska/Trad/Punk band.
