On a warm spring day in 2006, over twenty musicians gathered
in a studio in the north end of Halifax. Their presence was
requested to sing in a choir for the upcoming Heavy Blinkers
record. It was a project that had developed an aura of mystery
as of late.
The band had been playing less and less over the previous
months. In addition to that, some of the founding members had
begun putting their focus on other projects. Their magnificent
last offering The Night and I Are Still So Young earned them international

1) Treblinka was a black metal band founded in Täby, Sweden, active from 1987 to 1990, when it changed the name to Tiamat. Treblinka consisted of vocalist/guitarist Johan Edlund (Lucifer Hellslaughter), bassist Jörgen Thullberg (Juck The Ripper), guitarist Stefan Lagergren (Emetic) and drummer Anders Holmberg (Najse/Auschwitzer). This unit released the 1988 demo Crawling In Vomits and follow up tape The Sign Of The Pentagram in 1989. Also emerging that year would be the Severe Abomination EP. Sondra “Blinky” Williams (1952) had grown up in Los Angeles the daughter of a pastor, and she had been active in church choirs since the age of six. She debuted on Motown with the single “I Wouldn’t Change The Man He Is,” (a song reportedly written about Lovin' Spoonful studio bass player James Killingsworth) in 1968, and she was tapped as one of the label’s future stars.
