Damien Rice (born December 7, 1973) is an Irish singer-songwriter. He was born in Dublin, Ireland, to George and Maureen Rice and was raised in Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. In March 1999 Damien moved to Tuscany, then travelled around Europe, busking the streets. He arrived back in Dublin a year later, with a clear head and full of ideas. Damien Robitaille (born 1982) is a french musician from the small town of Lafontaine, Ontario. Robitaille started his music career at a young age, when he started playing the piano when he was eight years old, and later in his childhood he learned to play such instruments as the trumpet, guitar and violin. Damiens was a Czech musical group, which was created in 1997 by the brothers Ladislav Křížek and Miroslav Křížek. In 1998, their single “Lásko měj se” successfully began their career. In March of 1999, their first album, “Křídla”, was released. The album was awarded with a Golden Record. It was recorded in Hannover at the house of Jan Němec. In 2000, their 2nd album, “Svět zázraků”, was released and was respectively awarded a Golden Record for the sale of 25,000 copies.
