Group Laimas Muzykanti is established in October 1995. Together with a couple of people who shared the same views it was based by the actual band leader Artūrs Uškāns (Arturs Ushkans). Initially the band was formed as folklore ensemble but with the time there were experients with the sounds of ethnic music instruments matching them with rock instruments. In the band were involved the most distinguished rock musicians of Latgale. As a result the band created specific music style named ethnorock.
