Mary Prankster was a singer-songwriter from the Baltimore area from the mid-90's through 2005 when the character was retired. Her music was frequently vulgar and often funny with several literary references and styles ranging from country to jazz. Her self-described genre was cowpunk She collaborated with Colouring Lesson for the song Love Has a Rumble and frequently worked with her friend Val Yumm She's played as a solo artist and in collaboration with a band. There are three bands known as The Pranks. 1. A powerpop band from the 1970s. Two members, Jeffrey Foskett and Randell Kirsch, at separate times, have performed with the Beach Boys, singing Brian Wilson's vocal part. 2. A Swedish rockband formed in 2006. Their first single "I'm in the band" is a cover of an old Hellacopters song. Consists of: Mats (lead singer), John (drummer), Simon (guitar) and Alfred on bass. 3.
