Wilson Pickett (March 18, 1941 – January 19, 2006) was an American R&B and soul singer. Known for his raw, passionate delivery, he played a major role in developing southern soul music. Sandy Wilson (born May 19, 1924) is a British composer and lyricist, best known for his musical, The Boy Friend (1954). Wilson was born in Sale, Greater Manchester, and was educated at Harrow School and Oriel College, Oxford.
