The Candy Spooky Theater is a visual kei band from Japan, formed in February 2003. Prior to that Jack Spooky and Peggy were in a band together called Dororo, however, Jack was then known as Shati and Peggy was known as 迷La (MeiLa). In 2005, the band began releasing music under their own label called Candy Maker(s). DJ Spooky, That Subliminal Kid (born Paul Miller, 1970), is a Washington DC-born illbient and trip-hop musician, turntablist and producer. He borrowed his stage name from a character in a William S. Burroughs novel. Growing up in DC, Spooky became interested in punk and go-go music, and attended Bowdoin College in Maine, earning degrees in French literature and philosophy. Corbin Smidzik, better known by his stage name Spooky Black (and sometimes known as “Lil’ Spook”) is a young, up and coming R&B singer from St. Paul, Minnesota. A somewhat unconventional artist, he is best known for the music video he released for his song, “Without You” in February 2014.
