I was born out of the ashes of two great Galway bands; II Toke Pass – Reggae/Ska/Buckfast covers band and Big Bag of Sticks – Reggae/Ska/Trad/Punk band. Big John and Scotty formed the Saddle Tramps in 1999. They started out as a comedy duo playing in places like The Improve doing shortened versions of some of their original songs and interjecting with standup improv comedy. The band then got it’s first gigs as a band and added a drummer and eventually by 2000 the gun-slinging go-go dancer Suzy Switchblade. "What do I know anyway? I'm just some dumb kid," sings Adam Amoroso in A World Like This. Mildly sarcastic? Indeed, but hardly self-descriptive of him, nor his mates Andrew Leader, Eric Grava, and Martin DiLiegro. The four teamed up to form The Mystery Tramps on Halloween night, 2004, in their hometown of Lynnfield, Massachusetts.
