Constrito is a straight edge experimental hardcore band from São Paulo, Brazil. Their manage to combine grindcore, crust, thrash, sludge/doom and even post-rock influences to create a unique sound.
Constrito was founded by Pierre Kerchove (guitar) and Gabriel Godoy Castanho (drums)in 1996, when they released two demo tapes: “Nem ordem, Nem progresso”, and "Constrito". By 1999 the band played on the Verdurada festival in Brazil and toured the major brazilian cities of Curitiba, Joinville and Santos.
