There are at least two bands using this name. 1. The cult British funk and jazz band of the 1960s made up of moonlighting London session musicians fronted by the legendary Hammond organist Alan Hawkshaw. The project was the clever idea of some guy at KPM music in the 60's who decided to release a bunch of incredibly groovy and funky library music tracks and package it under the name "The Mohawks". The Champ is perhaps their best known and certainly most sampled tune. 2. Anarcho-punk band from Romania (www.myspace.com/themohawkspunk) .
Popcorn Behavior (now known as Assembly) was formed in 1993 when Sam Amidon was 12 years old.
