The Canyon Observer is a five member post/noise/sludge band. They involve sheer primal agression and atmospheric noise escapades in their music. The Canyon Observer shared stages with bands like Russian Circles, Rosetta, God Is An Astronaut, Ahab … The band also made quite an impression with their cover of Nirvana’s Territorial Pissings, that was made for the 20th anniversary of Nevermind. In October 2011 they released their first EP “Chapter I: The Current of Her Ocean Brings Me to My Knees”. Exatcly a year later Chapter II: These Binds Will Set You Free, followed. Hi, is this thing on? We are Exposed By Observers. We use cheap samples, clicks, bleeps, beeps and guitar riffs. We play sonic punk with a digital edge so as to rape the listener's ears. We are rasmio-late night bath singer, evilplaymobils-toilette synth player, stratos-bedroom guitarist. Inspired from Nite Versions, Myths of the Near Future, Sabotage, Trainspotting, Catan, we are almost celebrities, weekend rockstars and bedroom djs. Thank you for your attention. .

Niney's baritone vocal stylings appear on...
The perpetrator of the International Observer experience is keyboardist, songwriter and producer Tom Bailey. Following the extraordinary success of his post-punk synth-pop group The Thompson Twins, production and writing work for the likes of Deborah Harry, and the ambient techno of his Babble project, Tom Bailey was lured to the exotic climes of Aotearoa/New Zealand. New Zealand culture has a long history of appreciation for reggae and dub, along with more recent blends like hip hop. This, along with NZ's balmy climes, created the perfect inspiration for Tom's exploration of the dub artform he had deeply loved since the seething...
