Madame Edwarda was a post-punk / goth band from Japan, formed in 1980 and fronted by vocalist Zin-François Angélique. Highly influenced by the british early goth scene. They disbanded in 1985 but reformed in the recent years mostly to perform as resident act of Club Walpurgis, a goth club located in Tokyo, founded and held by Zin himself since mid 80's, it could be regarded as the Japanese Batcave. I'm an improviser. I started to perform my solo with the name of Madame P. In the past I was a co-founder and member of the seminal all-female band Allun. I was founder of Rosas Y Tulipanes duo. In 2004 I started collaborating with Luca Sigurta' in the highly experimental project Macaya, and with Tommaso Rolando and Marco Ravera - guitarist and doublebass player of the acclaimed jazz/fusion band Calomito - in the impro/jazzy ensemble called Toba. Madame X is either: 1) An 80s female electro-funk trio masterminded by Bernadette Cooper of Klymaxx. The year is 2005. Go to almost any hardcore show in Madrid and you'll notice something: the best bands are from somewhere else.
