Koreana is a family act from Korea. In the 70's and 80's they worked the European dance club circuit and released a handful of studio albums on the Polydor label. Their club act consisted mostly of covers of popular songs, but their "intermissions" included a lot of original material and some fantastic displays of showmanship. Koreana gained world-wide recognition when they played for the 1988 Olympic games at Seoul. .

There are two bands called The Koreans. One is from London, the other is from Austin. The Chainsaw Kittens were a part of the American alternative rock scene, drawing from pop, glam rock, punk, New Wave and British Invasion music. Their lyrics tackled such varied topics as religion, the Stonewall Riots, Federico Fellini, Oklahoma, Erik Menendez, and Oscar Wilde. Based in Norman, Oklahoma, the band was active from 1989 to 2000. The group underwent several personnel changes, but always maintained the presence of principal singer/songwriter Tyson Meade.
