The Jeunes were an indie/dark wave/brit rock band from Seattle that was active from 2002-2005. Although their self released EP was well received in 2003, the band never developed more than a small local following and disbanded in 2005 with much of their catalog either unrecorded, unfinished or unreleased. Singer/songwriter/guitarist James Hall later formed powerpop group Shake Some Action! along with fellow Jeunes guitarist David Bos. Bassist Jaime Clapper currently plays with shoegazers Black Nite Crash and drummer Curtis Hall plays with Grand Archives. Jacques Lejeune (born 1940, Talence) is a French composer, whose production works consist mainly in the field of electroacoustic music. He studied with Daniel Lesur, Pierre Schaeffer, and François Bayle. Since 1968, he has been part of the Group of Music Research (GRM), where he is responsible for the "cell of music for the image" (Further translation needed for: "cellule de musique pour l'image"). He has been teaching electroacoustic music with the ADAC/Ville of Paris since 1978. In 1994, he founded "Paysaginaire", which promotes electroacoustic creation, and the "First Contest d' Interpretation of Concrète Music" in 1996. .
