Gingerbread Patriots are Megan McGaughy and brothers, John, Jeshua and Joel Brophy. They are based out of Portland, OR. The band originated in Albuquerque, NM with Edward Burch, from the band Foma, on drums and later with Nate Santamaria of Oktober People. John, Jeshua and Megan have been playing shows together for about four years. Their music is just this, a layer cake made of pure, melodic, indie pop slathered with ambient icing and topped off with little electronic sprinkles. The sweet male/female harmonies make for an added scoop of ice cream that really seals the deal. .

But they also recorded a bunch of demos. Those six demos, including a cover of a Left Banke's "Let Go Of You Girl", show how much The Patriots were a promising act. .
