Gianluca Cascioli (born in Turin, Italy on 17 July 1979) is an Italian pianist, conductor, and composer. He studied composition at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin and piano with Franco Scala. In 1994, Cascioli won the Umberto Micheli International Piano Competition, whose jury included Luciano Berio, Elliott Carter, Charles Rosen, and Maurizio Pollini. The Pax Cecilia are a post-metal group who recently relocated to Rochester, New York, USA. They released their first album together in 2003 titled "Nouveau: A Theater of Air". Her career started with a second place in the Swedish qualifier for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Det vackraste.
