Elora Danan was a batch of lively musicians pumped out of Perth into the thriving Australian music scene. Not only did they breathe the West Coast aesthetic, they were hell-bent on delivering decent tracks through tight-knit camaraderie, Elora Danan screamed a dedication that is true to independent music-making.
Elora Danan exploded onto the scene with their 2007 EP ‘We All Have Secrets’ and immediately began their national domination. This may seem like an incorrect tag for De Dannan, but De Dannan also recorded as De Danann. In fact, their first four albums, beginning in 1975 were cut under the De Danann name. Their debut album was called "De Danann." .
Melora Creager is the founder, lead singer, and first cello in Rasputina. She is a Kansas native, moved to New York City in the 1980's to attend art school, and is the mother of two lovely daughters. She has played cello since the age of nine. Her solo CD, Perplexions, was released in December 2006.
On December 29th, 2008, Melora a la Basilica came out - recorded live, it is a limited edition CD with covers and old favorites Rasputina songs.
