Built in a spare room, forged in keys and distortion, These Modern Socks push jittery keyboard lines, stop and go drums and a combination of electric and acoustic guitar into a well crafted, synth/guitar-pop work of art. The quintet is an eclectic combination of extremely well versed musicians of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Bobbysocks was a Norwegian pop duo, that won the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 with the song La det svinge ("Let it swing"). The duo was formed in 1983, and consisted of Norwegian Hanne Krogh and Swedish-Norwegian Elisabeth Andreassen. Bobbysocks was disbanded in 1988; however, Hanne and "Bettan" (Andreassen) still occasionally appear on stage together. In October 2005, they made a guest appearance at Congratulations, the show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2010 Bobbysocks celebrated their 25th anniversary by released a compilation album and performing several concerts. .

The only known information about Diabetic Socks is that a CD titled Diabetic Socks - Left Overs (rough) was sent to someone in Brooklyn, NY. Once loaded into Itunes, track names were surprisingly found. The person who received the CD has been trying in vain to find out more about the group (duo?).
