Centrozoon exists in two forms: the instrumental duo (Markus Reuter of Europa String Choir and Bernhard Wöstheinrich, also known as The Redundant Rocker) and the vocal trio (adding Tim Bowness of No-Man on vocals). The duo's music always challenges listeners with its blend of unconventional harmonies and ever-changing rhythms, whose compositions are shared among Reuter (Warr guitar) and Wöstheinrich (synthesizers, drum machines and Z-tar). In the trio's work, the music becomes only slightly more streamlined to provide a backdrop for Bowness' mesmerizing voice as well as his terse and mysterious lyrics. .
