Formed by childhood friends Yoshiki and Toshi in 1982 at Chiba, Japan, X was originally founded to play high energy rock music. Besides being one of the first Japanese acts to achieve mainstream success while on an independent label, the group is widely credited for pioneering the visual kei movement.

Afroman (born Joseph Edgar Foreman, on 28 July 1974 in Mississippi) is a rap artist from South-Central Los Angeles, California, but later moved to eastern Palmdale (which he has referred to in his songs).
His best-known song is the 2001 hit "Because I Got High", which gained popularity through Napster, local radio play, a feature on Howard Stern's radio show, and the 'stoner' movie 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back' (and accompanying soundtrack). His other most popular song, "Crazy Rap", is often referred to as "Colt 45" because of its lyric "Colt 45 and two Zig Zags".

TK is Toru Kitajima, a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Saitama, Japan. Born December 23, 1982, he is the frontman of the indie rock/post-hardcore band 凛として時雨 (Ling tosite sigure). He began this solo project with the release of a limited edition DVD titled film A moment on April 27, 2011. Now out of print, it was packaged with a photo book/diary and a DVD with the songs "white silence" and "film A moment."
