Alternative TV were an influential British punk band formed in London in 1976. As the founding editor of the pioneering Sniffin' Glue fanzine, Mark Perry gained attention in the British punk scene. He formed the band whilst producing the fanzine, although eventually diverted his energies solely to this band. Key members of the band were Perry and Alex Fergusson, who described their music as "closest to Can and reggae-type rhythms," and were generally more innovative and experimental than many of their peers within the punk scene at that time. The London Funk Allstars were Jason Carter aka Mad Doctor X, Stefan Turner William George and F J Carter, who produced their own style of dance music of which primarily combined foundational elements of funk and trip-hop. Along with the label collaboration of Ninja Tune they would build up their discography by starting with the full-length and appropriately titled London Funk Volume 1 in 1995. The Knee Deep in Beats EP and their second album Flesh Eating Disco Zombies vs. The Bionic Hookers From Mars followed in 1996 along with the Sure Shot EP in 1998. .

4th Alternative is Rob "Bombardier" Davies. A classically trained pianist who like many musicians searched for expression outside the accepted norms. This led to experiments in music making using radio noise, synthesisers, and whatever instruments came to hand. Such experiments led to opuses such as Sunburst and Submerged composed when in his mid-20's. Involved in various musical activities and collaborations since then, he has now returned to improvised reflective music with 'edge'. 4th Alternative has now released the first commercial album - "Dunes".
