Almir Eduardo Melke Sater (Campo Grande, 14 de novembro de 1956) é um violeiro, compositor e cantor brasileiro. Nascido no Mato Grosso do Sul, desde muito pequeno já tocava viola. Estudou direito no Rio de Janeiro. Gravou seu primeiro disco em 1980, contando com a participação de Tetê Espíndola, Alzira Espíndola e incluiu diversas músicas da fiel parceria com Paulo Simões. Ficou famoso ao participar da telenovela Pantanal, da Rede Manchete, em 1990. Fez parte da geração Prata da Casa, no início dos anos 80, sendo uma das principais atrações do movimento que juntou os maiores expoentes da música sul-matogrossense....

He started out in music as a singer and tambourine player with the group Flor do Tempo, which switched names do Bando dos Tangarás when Noel Rosa joined in. Almir Guineto (Almir de Souza Serra, 12 July 1946 - 5 May 2017) was a Brazilian sambista, singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, working in the genres of samba and pagode. Almir Guineto was director of the samba school Salgueiro, a founder of the Fundo de Quintal samba group, and integrated the Originais do Samba group for 10 years before leaving for a solo career. Born on the Salgueiro hills in Rio de Janeiro in a family of musicians, he is credited as the man who introduced the banjo to samba, and is recognized as one of the main fathers of pagode....
